New registration obligation for packaging in Spain

The Spanish packaging law obliges producers to register their packaging. Distributors from abroad must also register through an authorised representative if they sell packaged products in Spain.

ElektroG and BattG drafts in Q1 2024

The Federal Ministry for the Environment is planning to publish the drafts for the amendments to the Electrical und Electronic Equipment Act and the Batteries Act in the first quarter of 2024.

As EUWID reports, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMUV) is working on updating the legal regulations for electrical and electronic equipment and batteries. The drafts for the amendments to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) and the Batteries Act (BattG) are due to be published by the end of the first quarter.
