Equipment and batteries: Are you fulfilling your legal obligations in the USA?

Not only in Europe, but also in the USA, you need a registration for the sale of electronic products and batteries. Producers are subject to registration if they sell computers (desktops, laptops, tablets, etc.) or televisions and their peripherals (monitors, printers, DVD players, game consoles, etc.).

Not only in Europe, but also in the USA, you need a registration for the sale of electronic products and batteries. In the USA, more than 20 states have corresponding WEEE laws, while in 9 states producers are responsible for financing the collection and recycling of batteries - and the number is increasing.

However, the extent of products subject to registration cannot be compared to Europe. Producers are subject to registration if they sell computers (desktops, laptops, tablets, etc.) or televisions and their peripherals (monitors, printers, DVD players, game consoles, etc.). The product scope may vary depending on the US state.

take-e-way offers you a solution for this. We are happy to support you in assessing in which states you have obligations. We also reliably take over the registration of your company with the local authorities and approved take-back systems for you.
