CE Marking

Numerous products offered within the EU are labeled with the "CE" mark which denotes product safety in accordance with the European law.

CE stands for "Conformité Européenne". The CE mark indicates to all consumers within the European Economic Area, that the purchased product complies with current European guidelines. As part of the internal market directives of the European Union, CE sets certain minimum requirements for the safety and health properties of many products.

By CE marking and the associated conformity assessment procedures the producer certifies that his products comply with all applicable directives and minimum requirements. For this reason the CE marking is one of the most important prerequisites for the market entry within the European Economic Area.
