New registration obligation for packaging in Spain

The Spanish packaging law obliges producers to register their packaging. Distributors from abroad must also register through an authorised representative if they sell packaged products in Spain.

Packaging Act: Do you need an Authorised Representative?

If you do not have a branch office in Germany, you can transfer almost all obligations to an Authorised Representative. If you are interested in this services, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can provide you with the necessary information, application forms and our corresponding Business Management Contract in order to already submit your August Report to LUCID.

On 1 January 2019, the German Packaging Act (Verpackungsgesetz - VerpackG) came into force in Germany and take-e-way handles your obligations from the Packaging Act.

Less than 3 years later, the legislator has already introduced some important changes to the VerpackG and one of them is especially relevant to you.

If you do not have a branch office in Germany, you can transfer almost all obligations to an Authorised Representative.

Important: Excluded from the authorisation is your obligation to register with the Central Agency Packaging Register (ZSVR) - LUCID.

In addition to the Authorised Representative according to § 8 ElektroG and § 26 (2) BattG, our affiliated company, get-e-right GmbH, also provides you this Authorised Representative according to § 3 (14a) / § 35 (2) VerpackG.

Your additional costs for the "Authorised Representative VerpackG" service amount to 98,00 € annually.

If you have to submit a declaration of completeness, you can also transfer this obligation to get-e-right GmbH as your Authorised Representative as well.
