take-e-way offers companies a simple and legally compliant collection and recycling service for industrial batteries. Whether you are a producer, importer, seller, craftsman, service provider or initial treatment facility under the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act, take-e-way is your point of contact for all matters relating to batteries.

We are certified as a specialist waste disposal company in accordance with § 56 of the Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Act in conjunction with the Specialist Waste Disposal Companies Ordinance.

In addition, take-e-way takes care of the required verification procedures, documentation obligations and the necessary recycling or disposal certificates for your batteries.

Packaging, logistics and recycling depend on which electrochemical battery system you request for collection and disposal.

In addition to the relevant waste legislation, industrial batteries are also subject to hazardous goods legislation. The correct handling of lithium batteries for recycling is extremely important in this respect. Improper handling can lead to short circuits, heat development and even fire or to the escape of substances hazardous to health and the environment.

In accordance with § 11 (1) (3) in conjunction with § 24 BattDG, distributors of industrial batteries must submit annual documentation on take-back and recycling to the Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt). Producers or their authorised representatives may submit documentation jointly for several distributors.

The producers and sellers connected to take-e-way achieved a recycling rate of 100% in the previous year.
