WEEE Switzerland: Public list of non-system participants

The SENS Foundation publishes a list of non-system participants on its website. The alternative to being publicly classified as a non-system participant is to join a voluntary system and make a financial contribution to the disposal structure in Switzerland.

The SENS Foundation organizes the disposal of electronic household appliances in Switzerland.

SENS defines non-system participants as manufacturers and importers who consciously decide not to participate in a voluntary take-back system such as SENS eRecycling, Swico Recycling or SLRS. Non-system participants do not make a financial contribution to the disposal structure in Switzerland. In other words, non-system participants do not help finance the nationwide collection network or the transport of electrical equipment to the recycler.

The alternative to being publicly classified as a non-system participant is to join a voluntary system and make a financial contribution to the disposal structure in Switzerland. This involves regular reporting of the number of electrical appliances that have been sold and payment of the corresponding advance disposal contributions. The amount of the contribution per device is defined by the system in a tariff and device list.

If you would like to join one of the voluntary systems in Switzerland, Nicole Stäwen from take-e-way – who can be reached at +49/40/750687-152 or international@take-e-way.de – will be happy to assist you.
