For a majority of businesses, the EUDR will apply from 30 December 2026. With the deadline approaching, businesses should review their processes and supplier relationships now. The updated guidelines and FAQs provide more clarity on the roles and responsibilities that companies have to meet across the supply chain.
The list of products covered by the EUDR has also changed through an update to Annex I. Some products have been removed, while others have been added. Companies should therefore review their product range and customs tariff codes to see whether their obligations have changed. The EUDR information system (TRACES) has also received technical updates and is now available again. New technical information and functions are intended to support companies in meeting the current requirements.
Companies should use the remaining time to check if, when and how the EUDR applies to them and start preparing as soon as possible. Early action can make implementation much easier.
