The obligation to register furniture and textiles under EPR is based on the Hungarian Government Regulation 80/2023 and applies to all producers of the above-mentioned products. Selling from abroad, this applies if you sell directly to end-users in Hungary. If your company is not based in Hungary, there is no obligation to register when selling to Hungarian resellers. The registration obligation has been in force since 1st July 2023. In order to register as producer, non-Hungarian companies are required to appoint an Authorised Representative in Hungary.
