The upcoming EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is set to introduce significant changes for businesses throughout the entire supply chain. As new binding requirements will be effective from 12 August 2026, it is advisable to begin preparations right away. Given the number of new requirements, many retailers, producers and compliance officers simply do not know where to start. In their day-to-day business, many do not have the time to spend days undergoing several lengthy seminars on the EU Packaging Regulation or even travel to in-person workshops.

- 28 July 2026: Obligations under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in accordance with Chapter VIII of the PPWR and existing national implementations
- 12 August 2026: What changes from now on? – The PPWR comes into force on 12 August 2026 (so we will compare the current requirements of national packaging laws with the new, immediately applicable PPWR obligations and highlight what companies will need to handle differently from this date onwards.)
