Solar roof tiles are electrical appliances

Solar roof tiles are covered by the WEEE Directive throughout the EU. Depending on their dimensions, they are classified as large or small electrical appliances (the edge length is the decisive factor).

As Haustec reported as early as 2019, solar roof tiles have so far led a niche existence. However, this solution is once again attracting greater attention in the fields of planning, architecture and installation.
