Packaging Act: Do you need an Authorised Representative?

If you do not have a branch office in Germany, you can transfer almost all obligations to an Authorised Representative. On 1 January 2019, the German Packaging Act (Verpackungsgesetz - VerpackG) came into force in Germany and take-e-way handles your obligations from the Packaging Act.

Less than 3 years later, the legislator has already introduced some important changes to the VerpackG and one of them is especially relevant to you.

If you do not have a branch office in Germany, you can transfer almost all obligations to an Authorised Representative.

Important: Excluded from the authorisation is your obligation to register with the Central Agency Packaging Register (ZSVR) - LUCID.

In addition to the Authorised Representative according to § 8 ElektroG and § 26 (2) BattG, our affiliated company, get-e-right GmbH, also provides you this Authorised Representative according to § 3 (14a) / § 35 (2) VerpackG.

Your additional costs for the "Authorised Representative VerpackG" service amount to 98,00 € annually.

If you have to submit a declaration of completeness, you can also transfer this obligation to get-e-right GmbH as your Authorised Representative as well.
