The Spanish packaging law obliges producers to register their packaging. Distributors from abroad must also register through an authorised representative if they sell packaged products in Spain.

Packaging Act: Online retailers must prepare for increased controls

By 1 July 2022, all retailers who commercially place packaged goods on the market in Germany must register in the LUCID Packaging Register – regardless of the respective types of packaging. If they sell their packaged goods on electronic marketplaces, retailers will need to prepare for increased controls in the future.

Slovenia: New producer responsibility regulations

Producers are required to join together to form take-back systems. Moreover, the new legislation provides for an authorised representative for producers of each waste stream from abroad. This offers foreign producers of packaging and batteries the opportunity to register in Slovenia.
