Portugal: Registration and Authorized Representative for Electronic devices, Batteries and Packaging

With effect from July 1st, 2021, the Portuguese environmental authority APA announced the early implementation of the official registration of an authorized representative for waste streams other than Electrical and Electronic devices. The product categories that benefit from this go beyond Batteries and Accumulators as well as Packaging. From January 1st, 2022, registration for such products is mandatory in this way.

Packaging Act: All deadlines and changes at a single glance

The Foundation Central Agency Packaging Register has now also published on its website an overview of the amendments to the Packaging Act since 3 July 2021 as well as on 1 January 2022 and 1 July 2022.
